Made in Bunch

Not many design studios can boast an identity that incorporates work by Build, Carlos Segura, Paul Davies, Stefan Sagmeister James Goggin and Alexander Gelman. A design agency called Bunch, however, can. Seven months ago, Bunch approached designers and image-makers they admired and asked them to produce a “visual reaction” to it, sign it and return it. The resulting “bunchisms” (there are over 127 to date, although it is an ongoing project so more are expected) have been reproduced on business cards (shown above), on mugs, T-shirts and the company’s new letterheads and comp slips too.

Josh Spear ♥ Joshua davis

A talk with Joshua about things like Praystation, philosophy, and his plans for the future, and wound up feeling a little bit like we do when we look at one of his mathematically composed graphics. In other words: utterly enthralled.

Second Life

... of a teddybear

‘Bears, is a series of portraits of the most unusual sort: ordinary teddy bears that have been turned inside out and restuffed. Each animal’s appearance is determined by the necessities of the manufacturing process. Simple patterns and devices never meant to be seen are now prominent physical characteristics, giving each one a distinctly quirky personality: their fasteners become eyes, their seams become scars, and their stuffing creeps out in the most unexpected places.’

99 sites dont je ne pourrais pas me passer

Everybody is publishing his list of top posts and most read articles. De Morgen published a list of top ten sites to come for 2008. Amongst them were sites like Facebook, Netlog and other so called "to be hot next year 2.0 websites social platform bullshit". I think that's a totally diverged and wrong point of view. The evolution of these networks and platforms is almost parallel with the speed of lightning. Last year we were collectively yelling MySpace MySpace MySpace, and now indeed all reputable artists, on all possible levels, are holding MySpace accounts...but peeps tell me Myspace is 'passé'. Tell me how then could the emerging platforms of 2007 be the future of 2008?

By this spit out I'd like to enjoy a 99-sites-you-should-have-seen-in-2007 list with me.
Thanks Loïc!

The year of the Rat

I'm born in 1984 which makes me a Rat. I've read that the Rat marks the highest rank on the animals-ladder. It can beat the snake and the horse, it is swifter then the snake and immune to it's poison. It beats the horse because when the horse eats it's pupu, it dies.

2008 is the year of the Rat according to the Chinese Astrology-circle. So promising so promising.

Todoist

Clean simple design, quite intuitive interface and ability to define task lists (projects) and subtasks (levels) makes this application very cool.
